5-star adults-only mountain retreat in the Blyde River Canyon
Amenities
The property offers a saltwater infinity pool with direct views of the Blyde River Canyon. Sun loungers and sun umbrellas are positioned around the pool deck for guest use. An airport shuttle service operates from Hoedspruit Eastgate Airport, located 1 hour away.
Rooms
Each of the 7 suites includes a 51m2 living space with a king-size bed and a private outdoor shower. The Mountain View Suite features a private deck with seating area and panoramic views of the canyon. Guests staying in the suites also have access to a private patio with direct views of the watering hole.
Location
Umvangati House sits within the Moholoholo Reserve, 33 km from Hoedspruit. The Blyde River Canyon, the third largest canyon in the world, is immediately accessible for scenic walks and boat cruises. Kruger National Park is a 1-hour drive away, and the Panorama Route is within 75 minutes by car.
Dining
Complimentary breakfast is served on the terrace overlooking the canyon and watering hole. Dinner is available upon request and prepared by an in-house chef, with a wine cellar stocked with South African labels. Special diet menus and champagne can be arranged, and guests can request a private meal in the underground wine cellar.
